Dr. Sagar Yatin Patel is an Ophthalmologist who performs advanced cataract surgery and specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the eyelids, face, orbit and lacrimal system utilizing minimally invasive facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgical techniques. 

Dr. Patel graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Miami, where he was inducted into the prestigious Iron Arrow and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Societies. Dr. Patel then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, where he helped coordinate and run a Health Clinic for the Homeless and performed cutting edge research, presenting at national conferences and publishing numerous papers including his collaboration with Dr. Andrew Schally, a 1977 Nobel Prize laureate. Dr. Patel graduated at the top of his medical school class with multiple honors including his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

After completing his internship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Patel went on to do his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the nation’s largest ophthalmology program and regarded as one of the country’s best and most challenging residency programs, where graduating doctors experience diverse clinical pathology and high surgical volumes utilizing the most advanced technology in ophthalmic surgery. After completing his rigorous residency training, Dr. Patel was selected for the highly competitive fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he gained extensive training in Oculoplastic and Orbital Reconstructive Surgery.
